The Italians have the correct idea with their tomato sauces for pasta and meats, keep it simple! Our recipe uses basic ingredients for a very tasty pasta or meat sauce.

Expert Advice
If using fresh chopped herbs, double their amount for this recipe.
STEP1 - PREPARE
Onions - Top and tail, peel and roughly chop.
Garlic - Peel and finely chop
Beef stock cubes - dissolve them in a small amount of hot
water.
STEP 2 - FRY ONION & GARLIC
Place a frying pan on a medium heat, add the olive oil, chopped onions and garlic. Stir in the garlic and onions so that both are coated in the olive oil. Fry gently for eight minutes until they softened but not browned.
STEP 3 - MAKE THE SAUCE
Add the remaining ingredients to the frying pan and cook for 12 minutes
stirring every few minutes.
For pasta, simply pour the sauce over the cooked pasta.
For meat, such as meatballs, add the cooked meat to the sauce when adding the
above ingredients.
